You were made to be fully known and fully loved.

Our work together can give you the space to experience this as true.  I create a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can feel relaxed and engage in the first steps to healing and wholeness through a relationship founded on trust and safety. I would love to help you walk that path today.

THERAPY

“Liberate others into wholeness”

-Norman Wirzba

Loneliness and anxiety are pervasive today. Many of us experience overwhelm with the stressors of daily life compounded by depression, anxiety, past trauma, abuse, or current marital and parenting difficulties. We long to not feel alone anymore and to talk with someone who can understand and help, to feel fully seen and known.

The Fallow Place uses an eclectic, client-centered approach, drawing from the influence of Attachment Science and Systems Theory. We incorporate mindfulness and compassion focused practices into our sessions to increase the tools in your toolbox.

COACHING

“If you don’t come apart for awhile, you’ll come apart after a while.”

-Dallas Willard

Our coaching program for individuals and couples is an opportunity to “come apart” from the regular rhythm of your daily life in order to discern and step into your next season with confidence, compassion, and clarity.

Rooted for Individuals

“Envision your life as a field.”

To be rooted means to be fixed, or firmly established before producing fruit or flower.

The coaching we do with individuals, Rooted, assists our clients with moving through transitions and processing past pain, to celebrating transformations, and unleashing fresh calling, mission, energy and creativity in their lives.

Taking cues from the created world, together we will identify what season you are in, and what work is to be done in this season, unleashing peace and compassion for yourself and others.

For those who are looking for spiritual coaching, The Fallow Place infuses Scripture and spiritual disciplines into our sessions, which through the work of the Holy Spirit, provides deeper, more meaningful insight into the level of healing and restoration God wants to bring to your life.

From fallow to flourish, we care for the whole person: mind, body and soul.

Grafted for Couples

“We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love.”

-Tom Robbins

To graft means to join or unite two plants in such a way that as they begin to support and nourish one another, they become one plant at the place where they were joined.

The coaching we do with couples, Grafted, comes from this concept in agriculture. Two individuals, as they are bonded together,  begin to nourish and support one another, transforming the two, into one.

Drawing from the work and research of Sue Johnson and Attachment Science, The Fallow Place assists couples with strengthening bonds of love and connection that create sustained emotional balance, calm and vibrant joy between partners.

The Fallow Place hosts various group offerings throughout the year. Each group is specific to the topic and needs of its members. We believe that healing is multiplied when shared in community. Our hope is that through these different offerings, you will find comfort in the commonalities of your fellow group members, encouragement and validation that you are not alone in your struggles, and that you will leave feeling supported and nurtured by your fellow companions.

PASTOR/LEADER CARE

“The great illusion of leadership is to think that man can be led out of the desert by someone who has never been there.”

-Henri Nouwen

Since 2020, I have worked with multiple pastors, church planters, ministers and church leaders who, after pushing through the pandemic, found themselves feeling like they were both drowning and burned out simultaneously.

As a daughter of a preacher, and a previous church planter myself, I have a heart for those who give their lives in service to the Lord and to their flock.

For our pastor and leader care sessions, we will focus first on abiding in the presence of Jesus to receive his comfort, rest, and tending to your soul. Second, we will prune the withered branches of hurt and suffering that have resulted from the pain you have encountered as a church leader. Finally we will move into a time of refreshing from God’s Spirit, restoration of God’s calling on your life, and discerning your next steps forward.

The Fallow Place offers pastor/leader care for individuals and groups. We also can be brought in to consult with your elder boards and church staff. Contact us for more information.
